Yesterday we went out for dinner and while in the bus, I all of a sudden remembered this story, and told it to Jill and AnnaLouise...

So when the china team was stuck in Beijing, we were having this meeting in mine and Tess' room one day, and I had to answer a phone call, so I left my team there for about 5 minutes....

....

The next day I wake up at 8, wondering why my alarm clock didn't go off at 6.30....
I was sure it should have worked....
So when Tess came in later I told her how my alarm clock had stopped working and that I was really sad that I missed my time with God etc...
her reply: Oh, I thought you knew.... the boys reset your alarm clock...
my reply: But why didn't they set it for some crazy time in the middle of the night?
her reply: I don't know, I thought you knew....

ok, maybe not so funny, but the reason I'm putting it here is because I totally forgot about this story until yesterday.... crazy boys, why WOULD you set my alarm for later and not earlier???

This memory made it to my list of things that always will instantly make me laugh...
It was on our India&Nepal outreach, one night in Calcutta when we had some team-bonding time and did encouragements for eachother. Anna-Louise and I had just had this one on one encourament time and now she was praying for me. Half way through the prayer I open my eyes for a moment, and right in front of me there is Chris (who was obviously looking for something fun to do) having his face superclose to Anna's face staring at her...but she doesn't notice and keeps on praying with her eyes closed. While Chris and I start cracking up Anna starts noticing something is wrong. She opens her eyes and finds our Korean-Californian brother staring at her in her face, who after that, almost falls on the floor laughing.
Guess you had to be there to appriciate it for th efull, bt it was amazing

loved that game, i think i almost burned that time.
Anyways two things I wanted to share that have brought back memories for me.
1) Be Visionary DVD, I watched it one time when I was feeling lonely, and it made me feel so good
2) The song "Keep Holding On"-Avril Lavigne. Such a good song, brings back memories from DTS and hope for my future, not to mention it is from the movie Eragon. And for those of us who saw it in Perth, those were good times,

Eragon wasn't a good memory though.... well, laughing about it afterwards was good.

well to reply to pd's post about the alarm clcok... in my own defense i was for setting it nice and early like 3 am or so. but someone else who may or may not have been canadian set it since he was holding the clock. yeah that was a great memory...at the time i don't think you enjoyed quite as much as we did though. i also remember you having a bunch of stickers on your back in the hong kong airport...good times. so yeah i hope that solves that mystery for ya.

how about this , sorry... I would say that only the china team (and Anna Louise) gets this....

"What's that?" *Fireworks go off in the background*

"Are we under attack?"

At this point Will gets all pouty and goes home with everyone else leaving James, Jon, and Jon to check out the sounds of urban combat.

"Let's check it out!"

"Sure" The trio sets off towards the sounds of gunfire

"Awww....fireworks..." The boys are dissapointed about the lack of fighting and weaponry

"FIREWORKS!"

"Hey look there's a concert over there!"

"Wasn't that where Church together was?"

"Yeah"

"Weren't we there?"

"Did we just travel back in time?"

"Maybe!"

Jon N "Hey Jon let's go over and see if we did!"

Jon A "Sure whatever..."

Jon N "Then I could kill my former self and alter the space-time continuum!"

Jon A *extremely excited* "NO YOU COULDN'T! NO YOU COULDN'T! WAAAGH! Fine let's go over there. Something will stop you before you can and history will be unaltered. You'll see I'm right...." *scowls*

First morning in s.heb ... all of us blithely sitting in the lounge room, I think we were worshipping or something... All of a sudden the light bulb from above us blows up and glass explodes everywhere.

ok.....so I thought I should set the record straight with the whole candle soccer game in Nepal.........James just couldn't help himself that night. Let's not hold it against him. we all got out of their safe and sound......perhaps a bit less "innocent" but later it came out that James was quite the ladies' man on that trip


one of my favs from IWT was when the counts of camp waddle grove were counting off and a certain new member aka Jordan was in the van and decided to be 11.... we got all the way up to 10 (which is where we usually end) and then Jordan yells from the back of our dented rented van ELEVEN!!! ELEVEN!!!!! Oh my gosh ELEVEN!!!!! Megan had no idea he was even in there.

K - that may not be as funny to some of you but let me just say.....Counts of Camp Waddle Grove...We fly!!!

Pd's alarm and the elvens 'count of camp waddle grove'!!!

Besides the fact that everyone here in Germany is just cracking up because of Jon and the whole 'be visionary' video, I guess the Tobi-eating-soup-story is just extraordinarily funny to everyone! Everytime I'm telling it again I wonder how dumb a person can be to eat a whole toast with soap...

I also have to give credits to the videoclip in 228 when Bart was throwing a football with full force at Silas again and again... I haven't even been there, but just watching it is soooooo funny!!!
